Biomodd, integrating biology and technology is a new work of art that has been uncovered at the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design. it is all set to rethink the way you did your gardening. In this different forms of plant life exist together and are growing out of computer parts. The most amazing part of this installation is that all the computers are in working condition. The entire system has been built with recycled computers and is enclosed in wood and glass case. The system also allows the visitors to interact by playing multi-player computer game. This sculpture adapts to every location where it travels. You will have to wait till it actually makes inroads to your home, but the concept is definitely an inspiration to do away with traditional gardening.
After the project is showcased, it is disassembled and the parts are recycled through recycling centers. It is recreated in every place, as the plants are also taken back to nature after every showcase. This project was envisioned by Belgian biologist Angelo Vermeulen. According to him, it symbolizes diversity of cultures, at the same time showing commonalities of place. The main aim behind the project was that humans, technology and biology can interact efficiently. It is open for viewing till 25th September at the museum.
