I always used to think about the usage of concepts that designers come up with everyday. I only understood the importance when I went into the detail of everything. Everything is being done to ensure that there are enough ideas and resources to counter the troublesome future that lies ahead. Modular, kitchen concepts or indoor gardening concepts, all of it is being envisioned, so that we have a brighter future. Everyday our space is decreasing, consequently keeping us out of touch with the most needed greenery, and that is where such brilliant concepts of indoor gardening come into play.
1) Vegetalis
Vegetalis is a seating unit with plants within. Designed by John Kendall, it is based on the theme, “accompanied with urban nature.” It will always lead you into the world full of greenery, even in the chaos of the urban world.
2) Biosphere Home Farming
From Philips, this house farming system houses fish, root vegetables, grasses and also algae. So it generates food, at the same time generating cooking gas with transforming water into eco-friendly material.
3) Window Agriculture
‘Window’ pot or window agriculture by Jose Rodrigo de la O is not just another gardening solution, it is a way you can use the resources inside your house that you never even noticed before. Here, the window, which is the source of abundant natural light, is the object in question and a solution for your gardening woes. It has all been done with plastic, double-sided tape and your favorite vegetable.
4) Eco Grow
This fruit growing device is designed by Rob Scott. It uses aeroponics, the soil-less plant growing technology to grow fruits and vegetable. In this the goal of growing vegetables is achieved by spraying the nutrients on the roots, so that the plant gets everything that is needed to grow.
5) DNA molecule-inspired Hydroponic Plant System
Envisioned by Rafael Fernando daSilva and Débora Nogueira, this indoor gardening system allows its users to grow organic food for themselves. It is made of two vertical metal tubes, where the germinated seeds of the plant are kept. These seeds are held there by a net until they begin to grow.
