Futuristic Fix-Up: Kitchens of Tomorrow

If we are to believe the gossip mongers, the world is ending in 2012. Well, everything said and done, what if the world doesn’t end? I think we will have many more years to pass on this planet earth. And, just to ease those times to come, today in Futuristic Fix-Up, I am bringing to you the many possibilities that exist in the world of kitchen design. The kitchens of tomorrow, as these designs are, just scroll down to see your possible future.

1) Virtu_e

Designed by Eliza Shubert, this kitchen can be easily hidden when not in use. This minimalistic wall mounted and tiny box contains Touch-screen technology, cooking board, work board, sink, water delivery, air extraction hood, and lights.

2) O Kitchen

The ‘O Kitchen’ is designed by Julio Seleghin, Maria das Graças Seleghin, Fábio Moschioni Moneda, Eduardo Sant’Ana Palhares and Guilherme Maglio. In this case a baal opens to reveal a kitchen that has it all to make your life easy, modular and trendy.

3) H2O

Designed by Peter Vardai for Elelctrolux, it is a fuel cell kitchen. Made up of the claytronic atom, it can be molded easily. It allows you to cook anywhere, be it your garden or any other space. It does not need any outer connections and provides for energy itself.

4) Oniris Kitchen

Designed by Nelly De Macedo, thus kitchen fuses technology with style. The central working unit of the kitchen can also be used as dining, washing, cooking and storage area. The kitchen also features motion-sensor camera, projector, displaying recipes/images on the counter-top.

5) Marcello Zuffo

From Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, this trendy and compact kitchen is just what one needs for the space crunched times of not only today, but also tomorrow.
