Developed by students from the École Supérieure d’Art d’Aix-en-Provence of France, the open source washing machine project has been especially designed to develop alternative and affordable washing technologies, which will be based on the economic, climatic and cultures of different countries. So, basically our washing techniques will be in accordance with economical, sociological, cultural and environmental aspects. The picture you see above is the prototype of the project, which has been made in bamboo with bicycle parts and solar panels connecting to a motor.
