Sound from the Pot
Priyanka Ohri | Oct 23 2009

The Sound Pot is a project by Lim Hyuntaik. It is a sound device, capturing the essence of sound through interpretation. This interpretation creates an interaction between the user and the device. The pot contains the sound within itself until it is lifted. The moment you lift it, the sound is released, rendering life to a lifeless object. You can control the volume by just rolling the pot. You roll it this way, you have a loud sound, you roll it the other way and you have a soft sound. It means that to operate it, no control switch is required. The shape of the object tells you the way of putting it into application. The unsymmetrical shape serves to balance the pot, which controls its volume. It is made by Studio Lim in porcelain and the color is matte white. Measuring 100mmx150mmx100mm, it wears a price tag of 800 euros.
