Tiuku clocks - A new form of grandfather-style clocks
Shikha Chauhan | Nov 9 2009

I still remember the huge antique clock that happened to be one of my grandfather’s favorites. The gigantic look of the clock, though, enhances your living space with its aesthetic appeal, but one thing which has always snagged me is its heavy appearance. But Ari Kanerva has taken those grandfathers’ time clocks to a new altitude. The Finnish designer gives a new meaning to the heavy look of the traditional clocks with his “Tiuku clock.” The standing clock leans against the wall and the contemporary clock features the traditional form of the swinging pendulum. A perfect piece for both a conventional and contemporary look, the clock can be yours for just €370.
